Hannah Dominique E. John Kamen was born in England. Her most well-known role is her part as Dutch on the Syfy TV series Killjoys. Ornela was in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Her parents were father who was a forensic psychiatrist from Nigeria and Norwegian-born fashion model mother. Hannah went to Kirk Ella Primary School and Hull Collegiate School for her secondary education. She also received training at London's National Youth Theatre. In 2012, John Kamen graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama. John-Kamen began her acting career in 2011, providing her voice in the video game Dark Souls. She went on to be featured in episodes of the television series Misfits (2012), Black Mirror (2012), Whitechapel (2013), The Syndicate (2013), The Midnight Beast (2014) as well as The Hour (2015). John-Kamen got Viva The West End musical Viva Forever in 2012, which was based on Spice Girls' songs. Viva Forever by Jennifer Saunders was directed by Judy Craymer. On 11 December, 2012 it premiered with a mixed reception at the Piccadilly Theatre. The Daily Mirror, however, praised John-Kamen's performance, notingthat "It's unfortunate that such a skilled group of actors, including Hannah John-Kamen's Viva and the remaining characters of Eternity, are disappointed by the cliched script and boring dialog." The series ended its run on 29 June 2013. The year 2015 saw John-Kamen land a starring role on SyFy's Killjoys. In 2016 John-Kamen had a guest starring role in HBO's Game of Thrones. In 2016, she was featured in the role of "Playtest" as part of an anthology of Black Mirror. The Tunnel Season 2, as well as Ghost played the part of the Ant-Man and the Wasp superhero film.
