Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of the singer Dionne Warswick and gospel singer Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a musical household. When she was a kid she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. From the album, she released several hit singles such as Saving All My Love for You How Are You Going to Know If You Give Good Love and The Greatest Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US Top Ones consecutively. The singer beat the Beatles. The album itself sold 3 million copies during its first year in the US as well as make 25 million copies worldwide, earning them the first six Grammies. The 1987 follow-up album Whitney featuring the hit songs The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built upon her successes, but it was 1992's film The Bodyguard (1992) that made her one of the best-selling artists of all time. While her movie performance and its soundtrack were not well-received, the Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as the accompanying album topped charts across the world for months. It was also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist and father of the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
