Heidi Klum, born on 1 June 1973, in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. Erna Klum was her mother. Gunther Kum was a manager for an organization that dealt in cosmetics. Heidi's father worked as director of production at the 4711 company for perfume. Her place of birth was Bergisch Gladbach, a small city with about 100,000 people just six miles from Cologne is where she grew up. The German-American former fashion model is now a television host and producer, fashion designer businesswoman and actress, who lives and works in both the southern part of California and Germany. Klum competed against thousands of contestants from across Germany and Europe until she made it to one of the three semifinalists. In April of 1992 she received the prize for top honors of $300,000.
